I love this time of year, because this is when I hear back from a lot of the tree planters I spoke to in spring and get feedback on how their tree tubes worked. I received this email from a customer in Iowa:
Hi Chris,
The tubes and trees are doing great! A month after planting we had a big rain which completely covered all the trees and did wash out some tubes. Luckily the red oaks and swamp white oaks took the flooding well. I walked the tree rows and I counted only 3 trees which looked dead. I would say less than a 1% loss factor.
Reports like that never, ever get old.
