2 years and 2 weeks in tree tubes

A customer in Florida sent a photo of a sawtooth oak he planted as an 18/24″ seedling and protected with a 4ft tree tube.  He texted: “This tree was planted 2 years and 2 weeks ago.  Look at the height and girth, it’s amazing.”

One of the old raps on tree tubes is that they supposedly produce thin-stemmed trees.  With the new vented tree tubes, coupled with flexible PVC conduit stakes, thin stems are a thing of the past!
