My phone has been ringing off the hook with calls like this:
“I spent the day working outdoors in my shirt sleeves. It’s still warm enough to drive stakes in the ground and get some more tree tubes put up. How soon can you ship them?”
(Answer: Today!)
That call wasn’t from Mississippi. It was from Michigan.
The unseasonably warm weather across much of the (usually frozen) west and north has scores of tree farmers working outdoors on their property.
It also has deer browsing young trees down to ground level. So it’s an ideal time to take advantage of the nice weather and get some more trees protected with tree tubes. After all, we know the snow will come eventually, so might as well take advantage of these “bonus” nice days to help a few more trees along!
